FRACTURE CARE:
The physicians at Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine perform fracture care for all regions of the skeleton for patients of all ages, including pediatric.
Caring for patients with bony injuries can entail treatment from simple utilization of splints or braces to traditional casting for stable or unstable fractures that may or may not require manipulation. At times, surgical intervention is required for increased stability of the involved bone, maintenance of the internal alignment of the fracture site and or additional protection and comfort for the patient.
Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine is proud to make available to our patients a rather unique line of casting, splinting and bracing material which is custom fit to the individual needs and lifestyle of the patient. Rigid durable products as well as lightweight waterproof options are offered. Our goal is that our patients experience as little change in their social activities as possible throughout the duration of their facture care experience.
In addition, we do our utmost to provide patients with the necessary education, treatment options and an understanding of the importance they play in the recovery process. Our goal is to return them to their pre-injury status and to maximize their outcome
